Max walked into Merlottes, clothed in full army cameo. HE just got back here form the airport, and couldn't help but find that fact he even fought in the war funny. He sat on a bar stool and sighed. His first time in this place since he killed his maker.

Abby had pulled up a little after 10. She wore a blue v camsole with a low cut V neck. Her legs clad in navy blue denim jean capris. Her feet were dressed in black flat heels. Her usual, straight brown hair had been done up in ringlets and dyed a fantasic fire engine red. Her make up was a little less out there than her hair. Abby pushed open the door and walked in. She wasn't one to drink but after all the things she had run into in this psycho place of a town she could use one. She stepped to the bar and ordered a Vodka and Pepsi. Her eyes glanced around the room and her eyes fell on the soldier in the bar. He was unusual looking but she couldn't place her finger on why he seemed different. He's probably a vampire. I tend to run into them a lot. She mused. Her silver crescent moon necklace hung between her breasts, she really looked a whole lot skankier than she usually looked but she was new in town and always played the good girl. She thought it might be fun to try to be a little bad tonight. Unfortunately, dressing bad was as much as she could figure out. So for now she would have to wing it. Her drink arrived and she pretty much downed the first one and ordered another which, once again she polished off. After 3 of those she was pretty drunk and feeling a whole lot more confident in herself than normal. It wasn't until after she was moving onto her fourth she realized she was going to have only 1 of these because she planned on going home that night. After all her apartment was miles away almost completely out of town and she didn't really know anyone here. ...Except for Danika. Well girly, she managed to slur in her own thoughts, Looks like you're walking a few miles to get to Danika's. At least you will have a chance to sober up. Who knows maybe Akasha will be there, even Jessica might be visiting. Without realizing Abby had just made a scence of herself. Instead of thinking about her next comment she instead shouted it out to the whole bar, " WHOO!! SLUMBER PARTY BITCHES!!!" She snapped her head back in an awkward roar of laughter. Most people glanced at her either amused or agitated. She tried to stifle her snickers and even shushed Sam who stood behind the bar. Her head wavered back and forth as she giggled and then BOOM! She fell out of her chair and hit the floor... hard. She grappled her stool and stood up. "When did you move the floor?" She smiled wobbling on her feet.

Max tried as best he could to ignore the now drunken girl. But when she fell and was unsteady on her feet, he intervened. Max stood up and wrapped his hand on the girls elbow. He lifted her slightly, so she stood up straight. He then asked a futile question, "Are you alright, miss?"

It took a minute for the situation to register with Abby, but when it did she focused on the man's face. Her free hand covered her face and she moaned. "Yeah... I'm okay... Just drank a little too much." She breathed deep. "I think I'm going to stop and try to sober up a little bit... I don't really drink... So I got hit really hard." She dropped her hand and smiled anxiously. "Sorry if I disturbed you." Abby glanced around and then realized how much of a spectacle she had made. Now she just felt dumb. She turned around and ordered a pitcher of water with a glass and a hot sandwich. This way she could sober up. She turned to the man, "Is there anything I can get you as... you know repayment for helping me up I guess?" She laughed nervously. She acted dumb around the opposite sex all the time, she couldn't help it though. She then realized how lucky she was noone IDed her tonight. She must look older than she really was. She was legal age for most things but not for drinking.

He smiled, "No, its all right." Max glanced around, happy that people stopped staring.

Abby smiled back. She reached out with her hand. "I'm Abigail, Abby for short. Nice to meet you. Although, I wish I had met you in a less embarrassing way." She let out a nervous giggle. "So in repayment for dealing with me could I buy you a drink or something to eat?"

He shook her hand, "I'm Max Night. And it's fine, really. I'm only doing what I was taught as a boy." Max smiled, his southern Mama made sure he was a proper gentlemen.

Abby blushed and smiled. "It's nice to finally meet a gentleman." She looked at Max. "So how long have you lived here for? I moved here a few weeks ago."

Max smiled shyly, "Actually, I just got here." He smiled nervously, it was his first time in town since five years ago.

Abby beamed at Max. She was glad someone else was just as new as she was to the town. "Well it looks like we are a regular bunch of "new guys"." She chuckled. She felt a little hot in the bar, she looked out the front windows. "Care to step outside with me for a minute. I need some air, and I kind of hate being alone outside...I-if it isn't too much trouble."

Abby smiled and walked outside. She leaned against the exterior of the building, briefly looking up at the starts before turning her attention back on Max. "The stars always make me realize how small we all really are..." She breathed deep and closed her eyes. "So," She spoke as she re-opened her eyes. "Brings you to such a small town... If you don't mind me asking?"

"Well, I grew up in a small town and was hoping to start a new life." Max replied. He sniffed the scents in the air out of habit, his mind registering he was the only vampire i the area.

Abby nodded. A man of few words, I suppose. She thought. "Any family living in the area?" She asked digging the toe of her shoe into the dirt. "Sorry for the small talk." She giggled.

Max grinned, "I don't mind. And no, my parents died when I was 15. I was an only child and had no other relatives." He shrugged, he long ago accepted that he was alone in the world.
