Forks Washington is not the only place there is a population of vampires who do not feed on humans. As a matter of fact there is a small community living in a small town in Northern Canada. They share this peaceful little settlement with humans who are completely oblivious to the presence of Vampires. This community’s secret is so well kept that the Volturi don't even know they exist. It started out with Dylan Heart and his wife Abigail moving their family to the sleepy little town where it is overcast almost all the time. Their 8 children, all adopted, have adapted to life in this town quickly. They have been there three months so they have at least five years before they have to move again. They have made a good start and are looking forward to being a part of a normal community.
What they didn't count on was the local native American tribe are shifters, born for the sole purpose of protecting their tribe from the 'Cold Ones'. Dylan managed to make a deal with the chief of the tribe. As long as they don't go on the reservation or feed on a human, ever, they can stay in the town and not be bothered by the tribe.
Dylan is a good man and a good father. All he wants for his family is to try to live as normal of a life as possible.
