Ryan is many things, like many people his demeanor changes depending on who he is around. He is confident and at this point in his life he has every right to be, he has survived and prospered. He loves it when someone can make him laugh, especially a human. Like many vampires he has spent a great deal of time considering them just food, but when one makes him laugh...it puts them as a stock above the common breed. He considers himself having paid his dues to vampire society and while very happy to continue any work or tasks he is given, he will tolerate no insult from a "young pup." His confidence, perhaps even arrogance is completely pushed aside when he is in the company of his maker.
He is certainly more acceptive of humans then the common vampire, while he stills takes them as food and lovers, he can enjoy their company and insight without requiring something carnal or base from them. He has been described as both brutally cunning and cunningly brutal and is known to treat individuals in extremely different ways, being a perfect host and eager to please those who have his attention and amusement, while also capable of tearing a person apart in two equal halves when provoked.

History Information

History:
Ríoghan MacCarthaigh was born a Celt in Eire during the Iron Age, now known as the Republic of Ireland in its far south. In his human years he was a warrior (in the most basic and brutal meaning of the word). His human years however were only a pair of decades and a half, although even by then he was with a woman and children. His mortal life ended when he was involved in taking over the rest of the country as the Celts were at the time. He received an axe in the back before falling into a ditch where, as the sun faded so to did his life start to fade. It was however, not to be. A shadow passed over the man, a shadow that promised him eternal life and glory, a shadow that saw him for what he was and all that he could be. Ríoghan MacCarthaigh was turned into a vampire.
His Maker was of course no true shadow, just a vampire clad in black to avoid any humans that may have seen him in the dark. Being a vampire changed his world, suddenly great new horizons were opened to him. He learned all that he could about under his Maker before branching out on his own. The Celt has, over the centuries traveled the world learning a great deal about the world, he learned to craft a longboat with the Vikings of Sweden, learned how to write poetry in Britain, how to tell a real gem from a fake in France. Not only is he the first vampire to train in the arts of the Samurai, but the first westerner. Of course at his age he has no use for their weapons, but he considers it an art, an he appreciates art.
Over the past one hundred years he has been a King in Italy, but has found himself in need of some time away and as such placed his favourite Sheriff as his Regent, while he takes an extended vacation to America....Louisiana to be precise.[/size]

~Things we would like to know~
Although his history establishes him as a King, its just flavour/backstory that I thought would be rather suiting for a vampire of his age, I have no real intention to RP as him enforcing him royal power left, right and centre, he is in all ways, on vacation. Abandoning his "crown" and everything about it.
