Bill Compton pushed open the door to Merlotte's Bar and Grill and made his way to his usual table. The familiar sights and smells from Merlotte's occupied his hightened senses. Finally seated, Bill made a quick pass over the occupants of the Bar. It seemed to be a slow night, waitress' walked back and fourth from table to table spreading their cheer and hope of a nice tip. Bill watched from the corner of his eye as a petite waitress made her way to his table. As she approached he raised his gaze and flashed her a genuine smile.
"Hey there sweetie, what can I get for you tonight?" The waitress asked. Bill watched as she strategically stuck her chest out obviously hoping to allure him. The name tag attached to her shirt read 'Lexi'. Lexi appeared to be in her early twenties and full of zest. A mess of dirty blonde hair sat atop her hair and he watched as she pursed her plump lips waiting for his answer. He had never seen her in here before. Merlotte's did have a reputation for losing waitress's. This high turn over rate was normally called by something supernatural. He could still remember the first time he stepped into the bar. The Vampire in Merlotte's. He wondered if Sam kept a record book. If so, he was at the top of the list.
Bill clasped his hands together and ordered his drink. "Tru Blood, AB Positive if you have it. Would you be so kind to warm it up as well?" He watched as her plump lips turned into a frown. Apparently Bill was a first for this gal as well.
Lexi stood their speechless, staring at Bill. "I'll be right back with that.." She mumbled as she sauntered away. She felt the blood drain from her face as she made her way behind the bar. Plucking a bottle from the small fridge beneath the liquor cabinet she placed the bottle in the microwave and selected 30 seconds. "A VAMPIRE?! Girl you were better off serving wings at Hooters!". She thought to herself. The chime of the microwave brought her back to reality. With a deep breath, she pulled the bottle from the gadget and made her way back to the table. "He-here you go.." She stuttered. What was wrong with her? Of course she knew about Vampires, everyone did! In one quick motion she set the bottle down and quickly made herself busy with her other customers.
Bill could not help to smile at the young girl. Poor thing, if she only knew what else lingered in the small town of Bon Temps. Bill had been received as a Vampire surprisingly well. Except for that one encounters with the Ratleys. However, if they had not tried to drain him he may have never met Sookie. Just the thought of her name sparked something deep inside him. A primitive need stirred in his loins. It was not a coincidence he sat at the same table each time he came into Merlottes. This was the very table that Sookie so bravely took his first order. Like an expensive perfume her scent hung heavily in the air. He could smell it on the cheap plastic cushions and the in the very grain of his table. Pulling in a deep breath he released the smell of Miss. Stackhouse.
While it is no comparison to the true crimson liquid, Bill unscrewed the cap of his Tru Blood and took a long gulp. Setting the bottle neatly back on the table, Bill listened as the bar began to fill with guests and the dinner rush made its way in.

Hana walked into Merlottes, hoping to fit in for once. She used to go to Fangtasia, but a old Vampire recognized her to be a half demon and almost made a meal of her. She shuddered at the memory, who wants to glamor anything or anyone anyways?

Bill heard the door of Merlotte's open again bringing with it the smell of something Supernatural. With his heightened sense of smell he could easily denote the difference in a humans scent and a Supe. Turning in his chair he watched as Hana entered the bar. Pulling in a deep breath he tried to distinguish her species. She definitely was not a vampire. Perhaps she was just a stinky human? Bill could not place his finger on what exactly Hana was but he knew for sure she was NOT human.
Swallowing another swig of Tru Blood he turned back around in his seat. He paid close attention to the actions of Hana. Since he was unsure of what she really was, who knew what trouble she could cause. Bill liked to look out for the inhabitants of Merlotte's. Well maybe not so much the paying customers..He could do without some of them. Sam had shown him kindness and Bill always liked to return a favor. In the world of the Supernatural a favor was rarely ever done without promise of something in return.
The crowd continued to pour in proving that tonight would be a busy one! A hostess was now stationed at the entrance of the grill to seat guests as they came. Bill watched as Lexi raced around the floor pouring drinks, serving platters of fried food, and spreading her tip making smile. Bill admired her spirit and energy.
Bringing the bottle of Tru Blood to his lips, Bill drained the bottle and placed it back on the table. It has been a long time since he fed from a human. The Synthetic Blood allowed him to live but in no way did it compare to the sweet nectar of a human.

Hana could feel the presence of someones eyes on her when she sat down at a booth. She was just about to look around when an oh-so-cheery waitress appeared in front of her.
"Hi! I'm Lexi and I'm oh so happy to be serving you to night!" She said in her preppy voice, laying a menu in front of Hana.
Hana forced a smile, "Thanks, can I just have a coke for now?" She sighed when the bottle blonde walked away. Her gaze traveled to every person in the bar area, then to the boys playing pool, until she met the gaze of a man. Wait, he wasn't a man. 'Vampire...." Hana thought, she always seems to run into them. Would he be shocked that he couldnt read her mind? It baffled Max.

Bill watched as Lexi served the new comer. He listened as she ordered her drink...but no food. She definitely was not human. Bill did know a single human that could resit the fried food of Merlotte's. Pulling in another breath, Bill sorted through the various smells that met his nose searching for hers. Finally, he caught the scent. Now that he had locked into it he tried the decipher the unique musk. Each person has a different smell. One just as different as the other. Over the course of his life Bill has trained his nose to pick up on these subtleties. Take Sookie's scent for instance. Bill could smell her in a room full of Humans any day. He swore he could always smell the sunlight on her skin.
Focusing his attention back to the girl, Bill tried to break down the pattern of her smell. At first all he got was a cloud of perfume. Diving deeper he found what he was searching for. The smell of many years and mystery lay hidden beneath the plume of fragrance. "Very interesting" Bill thought to himself.
Now fully intrigued by this girl Bill turned his head and waited, hoping to catch her eye.

Hana glanced at the cook, how many things can someone fry at once? Most humans couldn't pick up the sound over their own voices, but to Hana it was white noise. That's when she felt it, that eerie feeling of someones eyes on you. She scanned the resteraunt, it was the vampire. Was he aware of what she was, as some of the older vampires had? Or was he a young pup who was just curious? Hana met his gaze and tilted her head.

Finally, their gazes met. Bill stared deep into young girls eyes. Many people believed the eyes are a window into someone's soul. Bill believed that to be true as well. A person's eyes could tell you many things. The eyes could portray anger, sadness, and also power.
Bill studied the girls eyes and face still trying to figure out exactly what she was. When he examined her scent earlier he found no trace of Shifter or Were. Bill suddenly realized something he missed before. Even though every Vampire, Human, or what have you smelled differently, each species did have their own spice. Some more milder than others. This dame did a very good job of hiding her Human side. It was very faint, but once he picked it up he did not let it go. "What has tainted your blood... " Bill thought to himself.
Bill tried to purge deeper into the girls optics, hoping for a clue. Who ever she was, she did not want anyone to know exactly what what was. A customer pulled open the door to Merlotte's stirring the air inside. A wave of knowing traveled with the air. The draft caused Bill to get a giant helping of the girls scent. Finally! Realization smacked him head on.
"Demon...." Bill muttered to himself, never breaking her gaze.

Hana gazed at him, he must me a few years past past his change. He was able to control himself, even study others around him. When he muttered one word her heart stopped in her chest. That damn wind had given her away. Her eyes flickered red for a mere second, most humans would't pick it up. But a vampire could easily, "what do you want?" She whispered, in a voice that asked if she was a friend or foe.

Bill held his gaze, even when her eyes flicked the color of blood. Even though she had only whispered, Bill heard her question clear as day. There were many perks to being Supernatural. They could carry on an entire conversation without any Human ever noticing. Bill snickered to himself. No wonder Humans always found themselves dead or drained. Humans failed to notice anything around them. A fight could break out and no one would blink an eye. Bill had learned early to always watch his back and know his surroundings.
"Why are you masking your scent? Hiding from someone...something? Bill asked her. He tried to portray through his words that he meant her no trouble. Unless of course she decided to cause some.
"I'm Bill Compton... and you are?" He muttered. Bill spoke so fast his lips barely moved. He knew she could hear him. Out of the corner of his eye Bill watched Lexi turn and make her way to his table. Keeping one eye locked on the girl, he shot the waitress an enchanting glare. Bill caught the girls eye and infused a small Glamour in his gaze. Lexi quickly turned the other away completely forgetting about Bill.

"My breed is rather...important to vampires." She mumbled, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. Hana always made sure her human side was more powerful than her demonic. "Hana, Hana Wilks." She watched him glamor the girl, not daring to show her worry. Her mind flicked back to when she was sixteen. She almost died because some foreign vampire ambassador just about drained her. Her mother killed him and made sure all shifters he glamored using her blood were silenced.

Bill cracked a smile at Hana's comment. Demons were handy to keep around. They were strong and could easily decapitate a Vampire. Bill's thoughts flicked to Mr. Cataladies, a "hired" Demon. He wondered if Hana was one of his or if she wandered by herself.
Hana seemed to be very guarded. He wondered if it was because he is a Vampire. Vampire do not carry the greatest reputation with Humans, or other Supes. Especially since the revealed themselves to the World. Was it because other creatures were jealous of the Vampires new found freedom? Or were they afraid? Personally, Bill enjoyed the new freedom. Not having to hide his existence was like a breath of fresh air. A dark cloud of memories flooded his mind. How many years had he hid, stalking the night. Many Vampires believed it had been a mistake going public.
Clearing his had of past memories and regrets, Bill turned his attention back to Hana. "Mind if I join you?" He asked. Not waiting for a reply, he stood from his booth and made his way to her table. In one quick fluid motion Bill sat in front of her. "So..What brings you to Bon Temps?"

Hana looked at him with laughing eyes. The guy had guts, that was sure. "You got Moxxy, an honorable trait." She pondered for a moment, deciding to tell him the truth. "My best friend, Sarah Black and the rest of her family died in a car accident a few months ago. She left me as her sole benefactor. I've been smoothing things out, their funeral was last Sunday. I'm not even sure why she left me her house, but she always said staying in one place would be good for me."

Bill sat patiently and listened to her story. "My sincere apologies for your loss.." Bill said, nodding his head. He knew all too well the sting of a lost loved one. Images of his children stirred from the depths of his mind. Images he tried to keep locked away. Sarah, his daughter, shone bright in his mind, reminding him of his loss. Tossing away the image of his lost daughter, Bill regained control of his emotions.
"I agree with your friend. It is nice to settle down. I am sure you will find Bon Temps to be......pleasant." Bill remarked, hesitant on how to describe his home town. Bon Temp has defiantly been pleasant to him but then again he was on top of the food chain.
"So, Hana. Who holds you? Or are a wanderer looking for an adventure?" Bill asked, holding his gaze.

Hana thought for a moment, "I suppose I'll stay here for a while. The town reminds me of the one I grew up in and I've ran into a few friends." She smiled, it was nice to see Damien and Max again, them there was Axel. It was still young, but they were together. It was still a little strange to her, she never thought she would go out-if that was what you could call it-with a vampire.
