The time had surely passed since she had last seen her beloved Gabriel, but she knew better than to even think to call him that nowadays. She loved Gabriel with all her heart, but she figured after her disappearance he had moved on with his life.. As she hoped he could. She didn't want to tell him why she left when she did what her reasoning was. She knew it would have sent sent him over the edge to hear what she had done. She sighed as she pulled up to his house. A small tear rolled down her cheek as she looked up at the large house. Maybe just seeing him would ease the pain she had missing him so much.. Or maybe it would just make it worse, She knew that at anytime she may have to leave, but she felt it was about time she told Gabriel the truth. It wouldn't be easy, but it was something she knew needed to happen. She turned off her car, and stepped out. She was still as beautiful as she had always been. The tall blonde bombshell as Godric had always mocked her teasingly with. She sighed, smoothing her white sundress. Her long hair was curled neatly with a silver clip in it.
She walked up to the steps.. She was afraid of many things, but the one thing she knew that she couldn't handle would be another woman answering the door. She held her breathe softly, waiting for Gabe to hopefully answer.. and not slam the door in her face. For all he knew, she was dead. A small tear fell down her cheek as she hoped with all her heart that he would at least speak to her. She knew that her chance was gone, but she needed to clear the water and clear any questions that may have arised in her absence.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gabe had just laid in bed awake for about an hour or so before going upstairs. He sat in the living room and talked wit Ian while he got a few things together to go over to Aaron’s for a couple days. He had come to trust Aaron with his son’s safety so he didn’t say anything about it to him. And he walked from one one in the house to another before he decided to get a change of clothes. And he ended up back in his living room, drinking from a glass of donor blood. He hadn’t been doing much but sitting and waiting for a maniacal maenad to show up at his door looking to kill his son. And if she did she’d be getting more than she’d expect. An enraged vampire father, lying in wait to ripe her to pieces should anything be attempted. He came back from Venice with the Elite Council at an undecided vote. But a knock at his door caught his attention. HE hadn’t heard anyone getting close to the house. He wanted to kick himself for not paying attention. None the less he got up from where he was sitting and walked to the door. He knew who it was before he even got to the door. The scent was unmistakable. Someone he hadn’t seen in too long. And he opened the door the meet the girls gaze. “Julie.” He spoke. But his voice was hollow. It didn’t hold much of anything. She’d left him without so much as a word as to what was going on. He figured she found him unacceptable after seeing him feed. But it was what he was, and he wasn’t going to apologize for what he was. “You’ve been gone a very long time.” He said. “It’s good to see your well.” He smiled. He voice now regaining its familiar feel to it. He wasn’t going to turn her away from his home. He knew she had her reason for leaving. But he had every intention of asking her about them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julie felt her heart leap as she heard footsteps coming, and she almost thought about running in fear. She swallowed in as she awaited to hear his sweet voice. Suddenly, the door opened.. His sweet handsome face before her still made her heart skip a beat. Her cheeks felt warm turning a light pink when she saw him, close to tears. She had awaited the day to see him again, and here it was. Her heart pounded fast as she stood there silently. She heard to hollowness in his voice and she felt a tear rush down her cheek feeling like a flame against her skin,"Gabe.." She said in her soft, sweet voice. She couldn't believe it was real. For a moment she was in disbelief, but his glorious voice couldn't be recreated in her mind no matter how hard she could try. Even in memories it never did compare to the real sound of his voice. She hoped with all her heart she could fix things..
She heard his tone soften, and no sooner was embracing him. She threw her arms around him, tears falling "I'm so sorry, Gabe.." She said in a breaking voice, and looked up at him with her soft blue eyes. "I--I love you gabe.." She said. "I never would have left you.. But if I hadn't... I never would have been able to be with you.. I can't tell you everything at this moment but please believe me my love that I will tell you when the timing is right.." She said almost pleading. She knew this could either go really great or absolutely horrible.. She wasn't quite sure yet.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gabe had paused a few moments before returning the thrown hug. Quite a few thing had changed since she left. Things had changed for him anyway. Julie admitted to still loving him. And that only made his information harder to tell. Yes, Gabe still had a love for Julie. but not like it was before. In the time she had been gone, Gabe had moved on. Eventually there was space between them again and Gabe closed his door and turned to face Julie. "There are a few things from me you will hear tonight as well." he said. His voice held his sorrow. For he knew what he would have to say to hear would must likely strike at the core. But the last intention he wanted was to see her hurt.
He leaned against the wall opposite her. "Whom would you like to go first?" he asked, voice unchanged. He prayed she would begin to explain things to him first. Because he knew if he did, she nay end up leaving without having a chance to calm down from what he had to say. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julie at that moment felt her heart sink when she could see where this was going to lead to. She choked down any tears she had left. She refused to show that she was weak around him. He had been her world and she knew that it was certain to come crashing down around her. She bit her lip as she stood silently a amoment. "uhm.." She muttered out, feeling like a fool at this point. Not just for her actions only a mere moment ago.. but for the fact she even came. She hoped to hell she could tell him everything and that she could win him over once again. When she was a little girl she recalled all the fairy tales she had been told. The prince and the princess rode off in the sunset always ending on a happy note, then that was pretty much it. Of couse, she was no princess and clearly life haden't been a fairy tale.; Especially since she had left. She wished she hadnt had to.. but she knew once thing for sure right at that moment.. her heart was moments away from rebreaking. She sighed deciding that she couldn't fight him. Hell, at that point fight was the last thing she had in her. She felt rather numb, trying to speak without her voice cracking to hold back her remaining tears.
"I--" She let out, but quickly looked away from him still holding onto her tears,"I see.." She said in a light, quiet tone. She may have looked beautiful in the moment, but inside she felt beaten. She felt like a damned fool. She knew this may well have been her final I love you, and she couldn't recieve such a sentiment.. nor would she let it be evident how much she wished it could be a mutual feeling. She sighed holding her gaze to the floor as she sat down,"Well.. Since I know if I don't tell you before you tell me.. I-- I may storm out.. So...I'll begin," She said in her lulling voice, trying not to sound bitter towards him.
"I was working under a demon, a damn full blood.. for quite some time. She had certain.." She tried to think a moment as she paued a moment,"Well, connections.. I have been getting her information in various ways low key to keep the suspicions away from her. In exchange, She's paid me a wealthy sum thats kept my gran's medical bills at bay.. Unfortunately, when treatments stopped working and my Gran's hope was fadin' I made a foolish mistake and ended up in too deep.." She said, finally looking up at him," I asked her to save her.. and.. She killed her.." She said choking down tears," She--" Her voice cracked as she continued to fight it. "Well, she did it in a peaceful sense, but-- after that she made me get in deeper with all kinds of creatures and groups.. She's looking for warlocks.. Hell, half the stuff she's put me in I only thought was fiction.. but.. She's very dangerous.. She'll probably kill the both of us if she knows I told you.." She looked down, refusing to give a name to the demon. "N--now you.."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gabe was caught on each and every word. Listening to her explain to him why she had been gone for so long. And after hearing and guessing a few things, Gabe now had a score to settle with the demon that had made her life hell. And he had intentions of getting her some well-deserved justice. To Gabe, forcing another to do that which was beneath them made him sick. If he could he would have regurgitated the blood he'd eaten earlier. But he contained the outrage of what Julie was pushed into doing. "You need not fear anything so long as I'm in town." he assured. He still cared for Julie, so he would ensure her safety so long as it was within his power to do so.
He exhaled when he knew it was his turn to explain things. He guessed he'd start with Ian, and work his way to the other person. "Well, for starters, I have a son. A human son. He was away at school when you and I were getting to know one another. I hadn't gotten the chance to tell you about him before you left." he paused for a moment. Giving that a little time to set in before he continued on with his words. "I adopted him when he was about six months old after I...........his, parents passed away." he stated. The fact he'd been the one to take the lives of Ian's parents had never left his mind. And it had always remained a sore spot that he had taken so much from Ian in that one night. But he raised Ian, he loved him. Gabe viewed Ian as his son regardless of what happened. But Ian didn't judge him for his actions. And for that Gabe was forever greatful. For it was Ian's judgment on t that that could ever truly effect him. "But now his here in Bon Temps living with me. Though he's not here tonight. He's found someone he truly cares for." he said. Finishing the explanation of his son.
"And now for the other." he said. He knew he'd had to word this right to avoid hurting Julie anymore than she already had been. "A few weeks after you left, I was asked to do some work for a friend of mind up around Louisiana State University. And I did meet someone." he said, pausing for this to set in. He didn't want to over load her. "He and I hit it off, quite well actually. We spent a lot of time together while I was doing what I had to do, and after it was done he began making the trips here to see me and vice-verse." he paused again. But he stepped forward, leaving only a few inches between him and Julie. And he rested his hand under her chin. "I've truly grown to love this person." he said. Then his voice changed, he filled it with every bit of warmth he held. "But to be honest, I have you to thank for me even attempting to love again." he said. "For so long I had been content with being alone in my life. Then you came and knocked on my door." he smiled. "You made me realize that there was something missing in my life. And for that I am eternally greatful." he finished. He made it clear to Julie that she had reminded him what it was like to love and be loved by another. That he had lost himself somewhere. And thanks to her, he'd rediscovered himself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
