Axel opened the door to Merlotte's bar. He was hit by a wall of unfamiliar sights and smells which over powered his heightened senses. As he was new here Axel was not used to most of the places which surrounded his new home. And since this place had been the closest place to him where he could sit down and have a true blood, he had just come here. He didn't want to stray too far away and as he planned on making this town his new home, he wanted to get familiar with the people who resided in the town also.
Walking to the bar the pale vampire looked around. A few eyes were watching him but he was used to that sort of thing and he quickly dismissed it. He just carried on until he sat on a stool by the bar. With a smile, trying to make himself look nicer, he ordered a B positive True blood. Glancing around again as he waited for it to be prepared

Hana walked into Merlottes, plucking a twig out of her hair. Maybe taking a shortcut threw the foods when it was windy isn't the best idea after all. She swung her legs onto a bar stool, smiling at the server. "Beer please, Samuel Adams if you have it." Hana took a deep breathe, so many knew people had shown up lately, not all human. Her grey eyes landed on a brand new Vampire. "Your new.....?" It was more of a comment than a question, but she didn't care.

Axel took a sip of the blood. It may not have tasted as good as fresh warm human blood but it was good enough for him. With the new laws and such with the vampires rights argument going on he, and everyone else, had to put in and help. Besides he could drink from a human in private.
As he heard a female voice close by talking to him, Axels eyes shifted to his side as they landed on a female. "Depends on how one would describe new." He commented. "But to Bon Temp, yes i am new." He said taking a sip of his drink. "I assume your not? If you can recognise and spot the people who are not regular here." He said before catching her scent. She wasn't human, he could tell that quickly

Hana grinned, "Sweetie, in a small town every body knows everybody. First day I got here I came in here, nothing but stares and whispers."But she wasn't surprised, she grew up in an even smaller town. The Bar tender placed a bottle in front of her on a coaster, but said nothing. "You may be able to avoid it though, with all the mysterious deaths and new people coming in."

Axel rolled his eyes mentally as he listened to her speak. He had come from a small village before his human life had ended. He knew as soon as a new person moved in. "Im getting the staring and whispers now." He said looking around at the human staring at him then back to the girls who was talking to him. "Filthy humans." He uttered to himself quietly as he sipped his drink. Placing his drink down on the bar he looked at her curiously. "Murders?" He asked not knowing there had been any here.

Hana raised an eyebrow, she may not be friends with many humans, but they were still people. "Were you not one your self? Every creature of the night was once, whether they come of age or are turned." It was amazing to Hana how once someone has seen you they dismiss you entirely, yet the first time they lay eyes on you they stare. She took a sip of her drink, "You haven't heard? Fangbangers in shreveport go missing all the time. Then theirs the waitresses here at Merlottes, bout half a dozen of them wind up dead."

Nodding at her comment Axel replied. "Yes I was, doesn't make me like them any more." He said drinking from his bottle again before placing ii back on the bar and looking at the girl besides him once more. "Well to be honest. If a human takes the risk of being with a vampire than there is always that possibility. Not all vampires have the self control others like me have. Newly made vampires for example do not have much self control." He said wondering which waitress it was here who was the fangbanger. He didn't really car much to go out of his way to find out as it was hard not to find someone who had not been bitten by a Vampire. It was like they were the new trend or something

Hana shrugged, "Humans are rather...fragile." It was rather difficult to find the right word to describe it. Her hand drifted to the back of her neck, it had been a month now since Max had started feeding off of her. She hand't seen him in about a week, God she hoped he was drinking the true blood."I'm Hana by the way." She had suddenly relised she had yet to introduce herself.

Axel nodded. It was so true that humans were very fragile. It was like just a simple flick of the wrist could kill them. Insane. As the girl introduced herself as Hana, he watched her rub her neck. "Im Axel." He replied to her. He very rarely gave his name first and waited until the other party introduced themselves to him before he returned his name. It was a just in case sort of thing. "So you seem like a nice and interesting girl. Why are you living in a place like this?" He asked purposely not saying human. He could smell that she was not human, not that he cared too much. He was open with other species, unlike others

She gave him a sideways look when he said 'girl'. She'd been using her powers to much, other wise her human blood would be dominant. Hana shrugged, "My childhood friend died a few months back and left me her sole heir, I arranged the funeral for her family and am. Well a care taker, I suppose, to her family home." Some shifter was stupid enough to run across a mountain highway in the middle of the night. Sarah loved animals and swerved to miss him, the car flew off the mountain. Killing the entire family, even the shifter got side swiped.

As Hana explained what the reason was for her to be living here and not anywhere else. he had to admit it was a pretty decent reason. "Oh im sorry to hear about that. I would never have that problem. I dont exactly have friends, im not that sort of Vampire really and as for family. Mine are all dead." he said casually. He had long since made peace with that. Quicker than expected really but his family had disowned him when he had been turned so he didn't exactly like them much. "I was half expecting you to say that a guy was keeping you here." He said looking at her neck. She could have just had a pain there but since she mentioned fangbangers he guessed she could have been one. Most people he had heard use that word had said it in disgust.

"Don't worry about it, I'm used to death. My Mother was killed in front of me on my sixteenth birthday and all of my high school friends have died mysteriously." Her voice held no emotion other than that of not caring. Death was apart of life, she'd known that since she was a little girl. "The only friend I have left is part of the undead. He just moved here, so I guess its apart of it. But him and I always go our separate ways, as all friends do."

Axel couldn't help but be interested in the girl as she spoke about death of family members and friends with such ease. He was not so used to it among others but he knew that if you been around death for so long it just became an everyday occurrence and you move on. "Your an interesting one arent you." He said as he knitted his eye brows together and lent forward a little closer to her. "What are you." He asked taking a breath through his nose to catch her scent again. He knew she wasn't human but that was about it.

Hana grinne d, some said it reminded them of a chesire cat. "I'll give ya a hint, my Father was a human." Contrary to most beliefs, a demon can mate with a human, but they are only half demons. "My mother was about fifteen hundred when they met and he was a Christian who was lost in life." All she knew about her father was he was a baptist preacher who gave up on everything. Next thing you know, Hana's born and he runs off to start a church in Oregon.

"A half breed?" He said, it was more of a statement than a question. She had already answered it by saying that her dad was human. "So what happened to your dad if your mum died?" He asked trying to know her further. She intrigued him and that was something which was very rare. "So what half breed are you? Fae?" He asked because smiling slightly. "Half demon." He said placing her scent to one which he had known a few hundred years ago.
