Axel Blade was sat at the bar with a warm bottle of A positive true blood. Even if it did not taste as good as human blood, he had to follow the rules and he could always drink from a human another night. There were plenty of girls willing to be bitten by a vampire such as him. But for now he was happy with his true blood and the humans who carried on with their conversations around him. He tried to not listen but with hearing like his it was hard not to. It was also hard not to notice a few eyes on him as he say. He always found it strange how humans could sometimes just look at a vampire and know he was a vampire, although he would have to give them some credit. The bottle of true blood in his hands probably gave it away just a little bit.
As he sat still on the bar stool Axel took a deep breath, he had come across a most mouth watering scent crossed him. He looked around as he tried to see who it was coming from. Maybe he would have to rethink the whole, just staying on true blood tonight thing. It didn't take him long to hone in on the source. A pretty little girl. The only problem with her was her vampire friend. He wondered how old he was. Axel being nearly eight hundred years old he was pretty strong. Stronger than a lot of other Vampires he had crossed recently.
Standing up as he listened to their conversation as he made his way over to the pair. Standing not too close to either of them he stopped and gazed at the women who he had heard being called Claudine. "You alright? This guy isn't bothering you is he?" Axel asked glancing at the vampire, his azure eyes sizing him up before resting on the girl who smelled heavenly.

"Hmm...I imagine I can understand that." he continued, Vampires had given the Fae folk a reason or two to distrust them. The whole "almost wiping out the entire race" was probably rather high in the list. But clearly some had survived, Sophie's line survived, this woman survived, or her ancestors survived.
"Yes...there is more I wish to know." replied the vampire king with a lazy smile, reverting back into his "sleeping dragon" appearance. There was a terrible sadness in Claudine's eyes when she started to tell her tale, he could hazard a guess at why but he didn't want to assume. He had learned long ago assuming was for fools.
A moment later some other vampire arrived. The humans he could excuse for being ignorant, but this one should have known better. Who was this young pup of a vampire to refer to a King in such a dismissive manner. His head twisted around to get a look at the new comer. He would want to learn his place and fast. "Well Claudine....am I bothering you?" he asked, turning back to face his company. How many would try interrupt them this night?

Her lips wrapped around the coloured straw she smiled wide with her teeth biting the straw as the second vampire approached, this one, he was young and fresh to her nose, his smell that of death but a spark of life lingered there.
Sliding down the bench she patted the seat beside her and looked up at him, her blue eyes laughing as she spoke.
"Nothing bothers me pet, but your welcome to join us if Ryan has no problem with it"
She looked over at the king, his smile and eyes showing an almost bored expression, one that smouldered with an almost ice hot desire to put the puppy in his place. Picking up her drink and sipping on it the mischievous fairy delighted in the idea that she may witness these two vampires fight over her company, once again she sighed, her vow of chastity more than a pain in the arse. Looking around the room, she longed for another fairy to join them, someone to distract her from her natural desire to cause chaos amongst the world.

Axel's azure eyes shifted from the girl to the vampire. He got the feeling there was something more about this guy than he knew. Of course if he knew just who he was Axel who have showed a lot more respect but he had kept his nose clean and stayed out of such knowledge. Once he found out he would show the respect the the king deserved.
As he spoke to Claudine his eyes moved back to her slim frame. He couldn't help but take a deep breath, he blood smelled so good to h im. All he wanted to do now was drink it. Sink his fangs in her thigh. He was so in his own world he hardly heard her talk but he looked back to the guy who she had called Ryan. Axel stayed quiet, as there was no real need for him to talk until Ryan had spoken.

"Actually I do have a problem with it." he replied before casting his gaze towards the youngling. "In fact I have quite a problem when little brats interrupt me and my company and make such insulting implications." he continued to inform. Honestly, the vampire probably hadn't broken in his training fangs. Figurative training fangs of course.
"I am the King of the Mezzogiorno and I refuse to allow some pup to treat me in such a disrespectful manner." he raised an eyebrow at the boy, the ball was in his court now. He could apologise to the King and be on his way, or he could make an issue and force Ryan to assert his station and authority, even if he was outside his Kingdom.
That being said, he was now subject to another interruption in his evening which impressed his mood even less. He was trying to get to know the very lovely Claudine, not to mention he probably couldn't come back to this bar because of all the attention he had been receiving.

Axel kept on a poker face as he watched the Vampire talk. He had an attitude which Axel would have liked to smack off him if he was given half the chance. He stood up strait ready to reply to the guy until he spoke again and said just who he was. Instantly Axel stood down. If he was a king that meant he had power and that he was probably older than him. He knew better than to fight with an older Vampire. He did not have a death wish, so to speak. "Forgive me, sir. I was unaware of your status. I offer my sincere apologies." He said taking a step away from the king. "May i get you a true blood." He said never moving his eyes from the king in front of him. His attention no longer belong to Claudine, she was not as big of a threat than a king

Watching the power play was like sucking on a wonderful piece of candy for the beautiful fairy, the humans around them stared, their interest peaked at the site of two vampires in their bar. You could almost smell the tension hanging in the air, wafting over them all as the two clashed with few words and fewer exchanges.
"now now boys.." Claudine had begun to say before Axel replied to Ryan, she sat back and simply waited, waited to see what was next, there was little she could do and even less she wanted to be there if they continued in this manner. Their blood lust would peak and her smell, though masked would be like a bone to a dog, she pulled herself into the corner carefully as they spoke, watching the humans around her and waiting to see if Axel had managed to calm the king.

"You are forgiven, my drink is fine. Now be gone. I do not wish to see you anymore." Ryan replied, while he really had nothing against the boy, he had after all apologized immediately upon realizing who or rather what he was speaking too there was a certain matter of respect and properness involved. He had rudely interrupted what was a private conversation and until it had returned to a private conversation then the effects of his interruption would be continued and felt. Besides, Ryan didn't want to share Claudine's company. Fairy's were rare to say the absolute very least, he couldn't have some other vampire discovering her, and if he stayed then he could no longer converse with her on such a subject.
But then....something happened. He wasn't all that sure what it was, maybe the presence of the fantastical creature that was Claudine had stirred something strange in him but his apathetic disposition towards the young pup changed. Dare one say it, a little smile appeared on his face. "Go on then....sit down. Join us." he ushered to the seat opposite him, the three of them sitting on one side of the booth would just be cramped. "What is your name child?"

Axel had to control himself and make sure not to scowl when he was asked to leave. He hated being told what to do but there was not much that he could do when an older Vampire said something and even less when it was an old Vampire king. He would just have to roll over an submit. Humiliating when he was usually the older Vampire when he went out places. "Of course." He said looking at the king as he backed up. Risking a quick glance at the beautiful smelling girl he was with before looking back at him. Axel was really not the trusting type and even if the guy was not about to attack him in a crowded place like this where all eyes were on them, he didn't want to let his guard down. After all he was a Vampire and Axel knew how their minds work.
Just as he was about to turn his back on the pair and walk out he heard the voice of the King again. He stopped dead in his tracks and suspiciously looked at him. He found the sudden change in mood very strange. He trusted him even less now but again what could he do. Although he knew he was probably more interested in the girl than he was with Axel and he could just leave, saying he had to go somewhere but he got the feeling he would not allow that lightly. He slowly took a seat in the place which had been offered to him. He didn't say anything, just made sure not to get too close. "Axel." He replied when he was asked his name. He did not like being called a child. Not when he was nearly eight hundred years old. Axel classed a child as a Vampire under two hundred. "Actually im nearly eight hundred. Not what one would call a child." He said quietly, trying not to sound disrespectful. He wasn't trying to be, he was just giving him a fact. "What abut your name.....Sir" He asked curious of the kings name. He had kept his head down for so long he had not learnt a lot of the king or queens names. The only name he really knew was the Sheriffs name and the Queen of this area.
