King Ryan McCarthy was meeting Sheriff Maci Deshane Holland. People he knew in America were few and far between and the people in America that liked were even fewer and more far between. So he was waiting for the young sheriff Maci. He knew her back before she was a sheriff of course, he had never been to America before his current little trip away.
He stood beside the lake, the moon was high and there was a brilliant shine, practically a light, coming from the lake. It bounced off his face, his smooth face that masked the brutal monster all vampires were capable of being. She was a far cry from her area, of course he was much further from his Kingdom.

Maci had met Ryan shortly after she was turned, it was when she and Godric were in Italy. Five hundred and ninety seven years later, she hadn't change at all. In appearance only of course, she had grown wiser, stronger, and had a better understanding of vampire and human life. Maci use to be a murderous, sarcastic vampire, but over the course of her life she'd changed. She now sees no reason not to treat humans as equals.
She had been in shiver port visiting Eric at Fangtaisa, she hadn't seen her 'brother' since she, him, and Godric parted ways. Maci heard that Her old friend Ryan was in Bon Temps, and seeing as how it was a short drive, she arranged to meet him at a lake. The sun had just set, and the stars were bright over head. Dressed in a short stain pink dress that came a few inches above her knees, as well as black stiletto heels. Her long blondeish brown hair was curled. Whenever meeting with someone important she liked to dress up.
Her heels clicked as she walked on the concrete and made light thuds as she switched over from concrete to the soft green grass. She gave him a friendly smile, "It is a pleasure to see you again." She spoke her German accent still thick after all of these years.

"It is a pleasure indeed....." started the vampire king as he turned to face the younger vampire as she arrived, a smile taking over his face. He hadn't seen this one in such a long time. And now look at you, a sheriff." he replied, he was quite glad for her. It was always good to see people you were fond of rise to power.
"It would appear the centuries have treated you well." continued the dark haired vampire, his arms rising in a manner to embrace her, all the while taking a moment to examine her. Moonlight reflecting off the lake suited her very well. Of course, the centuries had also treated him well. He was now a vampire king in Italy who regularly fed on faeire blood, in fact he fed on it almost exclusively. That being said, he rarely had to feed these days.

Maci smiled at him and nodded, "Yes, and I really like being a Sheriff. Not enough power to make me become power hungry, but just enough to place me above normal standards." Some people said that Maci was the best sheriff that area 10 had seen in a long while. She didn't just dish out punishments to people and be done with it, she tried to work things out with that person, and only if she was sure it wouldn't work then she would punish them.
She looked at him, "I heard they treated you well also. A king." She smiled, "Das ist grobartig!" She spoke in German, which translated into 'That's great'. Even though Maci had left Germany almost five hundred and ninety seven years ago she still spoke her native language. She moved to embrace him, wrapping her arms around him a soft friendly hug. Maci had never had fairy blood or even half fairy blood, she lived off human and true blood.

"Don't think you could handle being a Queen yet do you? Don't worry. Come stay in my court for a while, I'll have you ready for a Queendom in no time. I hold great sway in Europe." Many people respected you when you were over that two thousand years old mark. Besides, Italy was much nicer then America and if Ryan could take some of the better members of American Vampirism it would be all the better.
"Indeed, a king. Es ist gut so, und sie sich prächtig!" he replied, he didn't have her German accent, he hailed from old Hibernia, modern day Ireland. Still, he was a world traveled man and he could do it well enough. When she embraced him in a hug he embraced her back, wrapping his arms around her waist for a moment, his enhanced senses took in her scent before he broke away. "So how are you doing?" he asked, wise old eyes smiling in their own way at the seemingly young woman.
((*Highlight for translation)) It is good indeed, and you look magnificent.

Maci thought about it for a second, she really didn't want to become a Queen, as crazy as it may sound. She didn't want to be the boss of that many people, and besides why should she get picked to become one? After all she was an older vampire, but there was some older then her who would be better qualified and actually wanted that position. "Thank you kindly for your offer, but I must decline. I'm happy where I'm at." She smiled at him though, "But perhaps I shall come to visit you sometime.''. She never really noticed her style of speaking was out dated and sounded alot different from the way the people talked now.
Maci smiled kindly to him, "Thanks, you look handsome. Just as I remember you." She held onto him a split second after their hug, then released him and step back a little. Giving him his own space. She nodded, "I'm doing good, having a little trouble with V dealers and users in Houston, but it's nothing I can't handle."

"You should come visit, we'd love to have you." replied the vampire king with a smile, it would be nice for her to come visit. Perhaps when she did she might see everything Italy had to offer and accept an area over there instead. Indeed, he could see her as a sheriff in Italy, they had a simpler lifestyle over there. It was a much more established Kingdom then anything America, being so young, had to offer.
"Why thank you." he replied to her little compliment. "Although I like to think I've improved one or two areas." he informed before running a hand down his jacket and scarf. As far as clothes went, the modern world simply had so much to offer it was hard for him to argue that any other period was superior. If you wanted raiments from an older time it was just a matter of finding someone who could produce them. "V dealers?" He almost had a cold chill up his spine. "How I loathe them. The blood is sacred. In my kingdom when they rarely appear, they are dealt with most severely." He was more then happy to order a death sentence to any V dealers caught in his lands.
