-------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesse didn’t exactly feel like eating. But still here he sat at some outside cafe, the food just sitting right in front of him. So he just sat and picked at it, wondering if he truly wanted to finish it. He’d been sent away three times already, his supplier had yet to return to his office. And the longer Jesse had to wait, the more impatient he became. Though if he hadn’t have gotten a simple order mixed up he wouldn’t have had to be here. Running a bookstore was not as easy as people seemed to think it was. But it was what Jesse enjoyed doing. He didn’t exactly own the town, but it made him enough to keep his shop and himself in order. And it was giving him something of a comfortable life to live. But he had people waiting on the needed delivery that got mixed up with three others. So he wasn’t the only one waiting here in Monroe.
Despite having to wait for hours, he had to admit to himself it was a nice day out. Though turning his back to find people starring at him did get annoying. But he had his Fae blood to thank for that. It was like a natural allure to everyone who had an attraction to him. But usually he didn’t pay anyone enough mind for them to have even a chance. He kept his mind to himself, shutting out all the others. It was easy to do, but a skill he was happy to have some use for. His mother had taught him a great many things about keeping his Fae side in check. There was however something’s that were still sporadic and out of his reach. But he felt something on the edge of his perception. Another mind similar to his own, yet different. Here on this very street and very close.

Shopping bags hung off her arm as she made her way through the traffic, the sunlight beaming down seemed to wrap her up as she walked, everyone she passed smiled a little brighter. Stopping at the cross walk and pressing the button she lifted up her left foot and slipped the strap off her slingbacks rubbing her heel slightly her long black hair falling to one side as she did.
"oooh" she groaned as she rubbed the sore heel, her new shoes giving her hell, it always irked her that being a fairy did not mean she could wear designer shoes without pain. Dropping her foot and adjusting the bags she noticed a welcoming site across the street, a small cafe with comfortable seats beckoning to her along with a caramel latte, the incessant beep of the cross walk chimed as she slipped the shoe back on and skipped across the road.
Dropping her bags on a seat and plonking herself down she waved at the waitress as she kicked off the stunning but painful shoes "Caramel latte and a croissant please darling" she beamed at the waitress who skipped off to get her order. Inhaling deeply and relaxing her sore body she picked up his scent, her eyes popping open as she searched for him he sat in the corner a plate of food in front of him, he looked dejected and a little bored.
Smiling as she caught his eye she greeted him in the traditional fae language, people around her looking up at the lilting language, she waited on him to reply as her food arrived.

After a few moments, the full weight of the mind was felt. And he knew exactly what kind of creature this was the mind of. It didn’t really matter what kind of supernatural it was, Jesse had always tried to avoid them. His Fae blood had a way of attracting company, so he kept to himself. But then he saw here. Even from a distance he could spot a full blooded Fairy. They just had a presence that even he could feel. Then he wanted to just duck down under his table when the Fae language was spoke. Unfortunately he still would have been seen. So he passed it off as if he didn’t know who she was talking to.
He had to hold out here in Monroe for another couple hours before he’s supplier would be back in his office to meet with him. So there was no telling where this would go. Hopefully she’d tone down on the whole fairy act and not draw attention to herself, or at least not him. But he didn’t know who she was or how she would ct. so this would end up getting very interesting before it ended and he just knew it.

Raising an eyebrow at the obvious snub Claudine sipped on her sweet latte, the lovely warmth filling her up and quickly pushing away the negative thoughts about the boy who ignored her. She had encountered these types before, those that hid from their true origin, those that pretended their world was something it was not.
Picking up her croissant and licking off the chocolate she looked over at him again, without wanting to he was almost watching her, she smiled as she bit into the hot pastry delighting in the taste as the waitress swept past to ask if everything was fine "wonderful" she murmured with a full mouth.
The waitress smiled at her before turning, Claudine with a flash called her back "that boy over there, do me a favour and take him one of your delightful pastry's, something sweet" she winked at the woman who grinned as she looked over at the cute boy she had been admiring for most of his stay in the cafe "will do sugar" the hot Louisiana voice dripped with honey as she moved back into the restaurant and retrieved the cake, taking it out to Jesse and winking at him, pointing to Claudine who smiled and ducked her head at him.
