--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- He awoke, springing himself up right. And after a few seconds he realized where he was, back where he’d started. Whoever who had had him taken didn’t do so easily. Mainly because of the fight he had put up the night he was brought here. He finished up everything in the bookstore. And not even a minute after he’d locked the door behind him, he’d been pushed down to the ground. And he fought back when someone tried to restrain him. And since the three days he’d been here, counting by the cycle of human and vampire guards, he’d escaped and been brought back twice. But this second time they weren’t so gentle in bringing him back. Someone had gotten lucky a whacked him on the side of his head. And dried blood ran down the side of his face, and stained the pillow he’d been laid on. But he saw who it was. And considering he’d given more than he got he didn’t really complain. But Jesse was determined that being hit over the head wasn’t going to stop him from getting out. He knew they wouldn’t kill him trying to get away. He’d overheard them talking. And apparently, they’re employer wanted him alive. Though he had yet to return from whatever business he had to attend to. But right now even thinking made the headache worse for him. So he got up from the bed and stumbled over to a wooden chair next to a desk. And he sat there, his head hanging down.
Hearing the lock click on the door made him look up. And who should it be but the one to crack him over the head. With a food tray in his hands. He figured that it was still daylight, as the vampire staff had yet to show themselves. But this meal always came before nightfall. Because it was after this that the vampires were the ones looking in on him. Jesse was determined to get out, but he wasn’t stupid. He knew the human staff would be easier to get away from than the vampires. He knew how they could track scent, and considering what he was he knew it wasn’t at all wise to get them worked up and hungry chasing him. Jesse grinned as he watched him walk with a limp. Yea, he’d been hit. But he’d injured the guy all the same. “How’s the leg?” He smirked. And all Jesse got in return was a cold glare, and the metal tray being slammed onto the table across the room. And the door being slammed shut as he left. From they’re minds he could tell they weren’t hired for their intelligence. Not one of them had anymore than rocks in the heads. Well the guards anyway. But none the less Jesse was hungry. So he got up a sauntered over to the food that had been brought.
He picked through the food. Making sure there was nothing visible in there that might have an effect on him. And he coupled that search with the reading of the guards mind. Satisfied there was nothing there, he began to eat. Though he first downed a couple glasses of water to ease his throat. The room he was kept in was lavish in decoration. It reminded him of the Greece he’d seen and read about in history books. One of the benefits of being well-read. He could recognize just about anything that was described to him. But it held a bed, two tables, a couple chairs, and a bathroom. All decorated in the same style. And after a few minutes, he’d had his fill of what was brought for him to eat. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed and lay back, his bare feet still barely touching the floor.
And several minutes passed, and then he heard the lock click again. And he sat up to see who it was looking in on him this time. He could tell by the appearance this guy was a vampire, that and he couldn’t here his thoughts. But he hadn’t seen this particular person before. He turned to face the guy, the dried blood clearly visible on the side of his face.

It had been a rather hectic day. Unable to travel by light, Nikolai had to wait until his coffin could be delivered to the apartment he’d been forced to stay in while in Bon Temps. He had been there on stupid business regarding dear Bill Compton, but he hadn’t actually met up with the vampire, on a last minute decision that the younger vampire could go about his business. It wasn’t always that Nikki was so forgiving, but he felt a changed man... at times. And now, with the setting sun already low on the horizon, he could return home, to the prize that was waiting for him. Stepping out of his silk lined ivory coffin, Nikolai Mirabeau stretched, lifting his pale arms over his head as he let out a muffled groan, pale blue eyes lifting to gaze over the manor the Authority had granted him. And then, a scent came to him, drifting on the wind until it circulated his entire body, filling his senses and pervading his very pores. The human was here. And blood had been spilt. He could smell it.
“Bring me Alan...” He knew all his humans, even those who were mere servants in the manor, by name, and barked the order at one of his guards as he stepped into the front hall, shrugging out of his travelling coat as a young maid stepped forward to take it, her head bowed. A smirk came to him and he tilted her chin up as her eyes widened. Scrutinizing her face briefly, he shooed her away and continued through the manor, tugging off his jacket, leaving him clad in just a white shirt and a pair of dark jeans. His hair was messy and hung into his eyes in straight locks, and he let out a puff of air in an attempt to blow them away, to no avail. Alan approached as he stopped outside of the room given to Jesse, the half Fae human that he’d stumbled across a few days earlier. Of course, he hadn’t actually met the human in person yet. But he’d caught the scent and had immediately wanted the boy for himself. Yes, for even if Nikki looked a mere 16 years of age, he was closer perhaps to his 3,500th year. An ancient in human terms.
His eyes lifted to Alan, and he caught the limping human by the neck, aware of the five inch difference in their height before he unlocked the door and threw the human into the room. “What is that?!” he growled, his voice an angry bellow as he pointed a slender, pale finger at the dried blood caked down one side of Jesse’s face, after scrutinizing the human for the longest time. “I specifically said no one was to harm him! Honestly, do I not make myself clear when I tell you something?”
“But sir...he escaped and we-“
[/b] Alan was cut off as Nikolai caught him by the throat again, forcing him to his feet before Nikolai’s mouth closed around the man’s neck. His fangs sunk deep into the human’s body, and he felt him kick and convulse as he took a deep drag before he pulled back, blood soaking his white shirt and dripping from his lips. He met Jesse’s eye, keeping the gaze as he twisted his hand, breaking Alan’s neck in one swift and very easy moment. The body slipped from his grip and dropped into a heap, limp and lifeless, oozing blood that soon soaked into the carpet. Making a face, Nikolai glanced to the door, where two of his trusted guards were waiting. Nodding, he tilted his head towards Alan and then kicked the body towards the two. They nodded in response and pulled Alan from the room, giving Nikolai the chance to turn back to Jesse. “So sorry you had to see that...” his comment was soft, as if the previous act hadn’t just happened, as he took a towel offered by a maid who appeared to clean up the mess, dabbing at his lips to clear himself of the blood. “He most certainly needed more iron in his diet. Now, you must be Jesse... My name is Nikolai Mirabeau. It’s very nice to meet you, human.”[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] "This is you TALKING!"" 'This is you THINKING!' --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesse watched in almost disbelief as he saw the blonde vampire drag in the one who’d injured him. Jesse was sure to keep his distance for what he knew was about to happen. And he only knew what was going to happen, because the other guy knew what was about to happen to him. Yea, Jesse didn’t like the guy after all that had transpired between them. But he wouldn’t have wished him dead. If it had been within his power he would have put himself in-between them if it would have save the man. Though from his thoughts he knew it wouldn’t and Jesse wouldn’t want to prolong a painful death. And he looked on in horror as he watched the vampire sink his fangs into the guy’s neck, take his blood and snap his neck. Letting the body fall to the floor. Letting the man’s blood spill out over the floor. And seeing this happen nearly made him want to crawl out of his skin. Making him completely sick to his stomach. Jesse wasn’t one for bloodshed. Yes he’d protect himself when he had to, but he didn’t think it was in him to take the life of another.
Throughout the entire time the vampire was speaking to his other two guards; Jesse began calculating everything in his head. Wondering if he’d be quick enough to use his power on the vampire and his guards. But before he could come to a conclusion the vampire’s attention was now turned to him. And the door had been closed. Whatever this vampires plans for him, Jesse wasn’t going to give in so easily. But he kept silent as the vampire apologizes for having to see what had just happened. Though he clearly hadn’t been sorry enough to spare the guy. But Jesse readied himself. Just as soon as he tried to even get near him, he’d use his light, and send him flying back across the room. Jesse hadn’t used or even revealed the fact he could do that yet to any of the guards here. And he’d meant to keep it that way. Appear useless and powerless and just maybe they’d lose interest in him. “Yes, I am.” He answered, as the vampire spoke his name. And now he knew his, Nikolai. Jesse took a step back as the blood-soaked vampire made a step for him. But now everything had picked up from his breathing to his heartbeat. The fears of this moment making it want to beat right out of his chest.
But he’d try and keep the vampire talking, and hopefully off the fact his blood would be much more appetizing than the man he’d just killed. “Might I be told why I’m here? I hardly see the benefit of keeping a bookstore clerk as a hostage.” He said. Despite how scared he was his voice remained clear. And his expression hide it as well. He was about ready to jump out of his skin, but there was no way he was going to let himself show it.

Nikolai observed Jesse for the longest time, his sea green eyes taking in the younger man with curious regard, before he dropped down into a chair that had been pulled towards the door, making sure there was no way the human/fae hybrid could escape him. Not that there’d ever be a chance of that happening. There wasn’t much now that Nikki missed. Especially when it came to humans. They were so much slower. Sometimes he felt like he was going backwards with the speeds he used around the mortals. Crossing his legs, he lifted one hand to wipe a drop of blood from his lower lip, sucking on the tip before he met Jesse’s gaze with a small smile.
“My, a coy one...aren’t we,” he crooned, obviously amused by Jesse’s simple comments. As he let his eyes drift lower over the ruggedly handsome human’s appearance, he heard the one thing he’d been waiting for – his heartbeat increased, which sent the blood rushing through his body. His breathing was shallow, sharp, and there was a distinct scent rolling off the human’s body. He was afraid. But he shouldn’t be... Nikolai had no need or desire to hurt him. No, he cherished those things that caught his attention. But he wouldn’t tell Jesse that. One thing that he’d learnt in his 3500 years was that weaknesses such as emotions were never a good thing to reveal upon a first meeting.
He stood, slowly, straightening his legs, and brushing down his jeans before he stepped towards Jesse. There was a part of him deep within, the vampire that he’d kept buried for close to 900 years, when he’d finally stopped fighting in the various wars around the world, a part of him that was beginning to stir as he drew closer to the Fae. Just the mere scent of his blood, no matter how tainted by human genes it was, made his body ripple with anticipation, and his eyes seemingly darkened to red before the colour returned to them, a shallow breath leaving him. He stopped just in front of Jesse, his hand lowering to connect cool fingertips with a warm and stubbled chin, tilting the man’s head back so their eyes were meeting, before Nikolai’s gaze slid lower to the throbbing vein in his throat. Manoeuvring himself, he caught Jesse’s arms and threw him back against the bed, his speed meaning his was above the man in barely a second, barely a blink of the human’s eyes.
“Foolish human, do you honestly think I don’t know?” he whispered, his voice an earnest and longing growl as his lips barely brushed the warm skin that covered the throbbing vein in his throat, his hands holding Jesse to the bed, one tangled in his hair to keep his head tilted to the side. “I know what you are... And I do not intend on letting you go.”
With that, there was a soft click and a growl as his fangs extended, before he sank the sharp knives deep into Jesse’s body, feeling the human tense as the first ribbon of blood blossomed into his mouth. Almost immediately a haze washed over Nikolai. Sure, he’d had faery blood before. But that had been over 700 years prior, and while that had been pure Faery blood, a foolish young woman that he’d drained dry, Jesse’s blood held an exotic tang that he knew was the human coursing through him. A soft groan left his lips and his draining kiss deepened, his lips caressing Jesse’s throat as the hot liquid spurted into his mouth, sending warmth through Nikolai’s entire body. It was only when he felt Jesse’s heartbeat slow, and his movements lessen, that he willed himself to stop, pulling back before he brought the hybrid’s life to an end. That would not serve his desires very much, to have a dead Fae on his hands. A fae that he longed to have...body and soul...
A deep breath left him and he pulled back just slightly, before he lowered his head and licked the wound, making sure no blood got onto the bed or his clothes before he pulled back completely, sitting on the edge of the bed. A soft sigh left him and he looked away, almost dropping his head into his hands. The look on Jesse’s face was one he knew well. He had seen it so many times. On the faces of the innocent people he had murdered. Slaughtered in cold blood in the name of some conqueror or army. Foolish... The life he had lived previously. It was a life he wanted to remember. But he knew he couldn’t. Even if he could banish the memory from his mind the evidence was rampant on his body. Scars that mottled and disfigured his otherwise stone like body, dark marks that would never let him forget his life before the modern world.
“I am sorry.”
The admonition was soft as he stood, his head turned away as he wiped a drop of blood from his lips and tugged at the neckline of his shirt, feeling Alan’s blood already going sticky and warm against his skin. He did not look back at Jesse, but instead moved towards the door, before changing his mind and taking a seat, his eyes towards the floor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesse kept his gaze firmly locked on the sitting Nikolai. He wanted to be ready if he made a move towards him. He hadn’t heard the door lock back. So he supposed this vampire figured he could handle Jesse with relative ease. And he guessed he probably could. But he had one last trick to pull. And even as Nikolai stood up he held his ground. He made himself ready for anything. Or so he thought. Jesse thought he’d tried to be quick, but he didn’t anticipate the speed and strength that would be used on him in the small confines of this room. Everything had changed so quickly, some of it was a blur.
At first he’d felt the cold touch of the vampire’s fingers on him. And everything he was screamed in reaction. But then things changed again. All he knew was one minute he was standing, ready to use his light. And in another he was being held down on the bed, unable to do anything. And suddenly the fear inside took off like a rocket. He just knew his time was at an end. That he would soon share the fate of the guard he’d killed. With Nikolai being so close he could smell the other man’s blood that stained Nikolai’s shirt. But he was being restrained by someone who appeared younger than he. And his head was tilted to the side. His throat exposed. The raw fear of death sent his adrenaline rushing throughout every part of his body. He’d felt his lips briefly touch his throat. And all of his hopes of being let go were cast aside after Nikolai spoke. He knew what Jesse was; he’d spent so much time trying to not be notice. And once he heard the click of his fangs, Jesse readied himself for what was to come.
He felt the sharp sting when Nikolai’s fangs sank into his throat. And it caused him to gasp for air for a brief moment. But the actual event wasn’t as painful as he thought it’d be. But the fear of what might happen was still there. Jesse noticed the feeling of an underlying emotion. Something he could identify. It felt like something of a thrill almost. But there was no way to tell how the vampire would take his Fae blood. He knew the stories that his mother had told him. Of how her kind had been hunted relentlessly by the vampire for their blood, and the temporary abilities that came with drinking it. But Jesse stayed silent throughout the entire process, hiding the feeling of violation and distaste for what this vampire had just assumed he could do with him.
But what had happened next is something Jesse didn’t expect. He’d figured this was his end. But Nikolai stopped just as he felt his own pulse slow down to what he’d guessed was normal. And to top that he’d even apologized for doing what he’d just did. But Jesse had nothing to respond with. So he sat up and slowly slid back to lean against the headboard.

He didn’t want to see the look on Jesse’s face. It was a haunting image and he couldn’t bear to see it on the face of the half Fae whose blood already had him hooked. Nikolai let a deep sigh escape his lips, clenching and unclenching his fingers as he finally tilted his chin back to eye the hybrid carefully. He should’ve just drained him dry. It would’ve been better than to see the look of horror on his face. The fear in his eyes. The pain that had begun to roll off him in sickening waves, pervading Nikolai’s senses. He let out a growl, forcing himself to his feet in order to pace the room, hands clenched behind his back as he finally stopped in front of Jesse.
“I am not going to kill you, so stop looking as if you’re going to end up like Alan,” he snapped briskly, his eyes narrowing in the hybrid’s direction as he sighed. “I’m old... I have enough restraint to keep one from dying by my hand.”
He noticed the look of surprise on Jesse’s face, and a low laugh left him. “How old did you think I was, human? A mere child, barely out of their teens? Hardly... I am older than your Jesus Christ...Older than Alexander the Great....” He trailed off, rubbing his chin lightly, noticing the prickle of stubble that made him grimace. If only one stopped growing facial hair once turned into a vampire; it had served him well over the years, having facial hair, helped him hide in wars and armies when he was fighting. But the constant need to shave was irritating. Though, as he rubbed his chin he let his eyes fall on Jesse. Some people looked good with stubble. Such as the scared little Fae before him. A grin met his lips and he leant forward, waggling his finger.
“I’m not going to kill you, but if you escape again, or try to, I’ll have to punish you, my dear little faery,” he chuckled, tapping Jesse on the nose before he pulled back, folding his arms. “I am in no mood to chase little children around, so you would do well to listen to my requests. You interest me, and your blood is simply divine. I wish to have you stay here, with me, so I can see what the big fuss is about... in my lifetime Faeries have never been anything more than a simple decadent snack...”
He stopped himself, lifting a hand to brush his bangs from his eyes, before he barked an order through the closed door. A maid knocked on the door a few moments later, holding out a clean shirt for Nikolai and some clothes for Jesse, seeing as how the ones he was wearing sported dried blood from his previous escape attempts.
“Here, I sent men to get clothes in your size...” he murmured, holding out the pile with a slender arm as he watched Jesse.

Jesse closed his eyes for a brief moment after Nikolai snapped at him for how he was being looked at. And in that brief moment Jesse found his strength. He may be his prisoner, but he wasn’t going to make it easy. Jesse was determined to show exactly what he was made of. And when his eyes opened, the look of fear was gone. It had been replaced by one of complete determination. “For starters, I’ll look at you anyway I wish.” He paused. “And I don’t much care how old you are, it gives you no right to pass judgment on another life.” He continued, now taking small steps toward him. And he stopped just three feet from him. Jesse’s mother had raised him a pacifist, so he didn’t see anyone as having the right to judge who lived and who died. And that had started to show itself now.
“And trust my words when I say that I will continue trying to get away. So you’d might as well kill me now and save yourself the trouble.” He said. Jesse had already been told he wasn’t going to be let go. So if death was his option he’d try and play that card. But the way he spoke was just a ruse all his own. He’d gotten just close enough. If he wasn’t going to willing kill him, and Jesse knew he wouldn’t be able to run very far from a vampire of his power. Then he would force him into killing him. Or at least see what would happen. His light shot out from his palms, sending Nikolai into a wall. And his two vampire guards outside the door came through the door. The maid had already gotten away from what would be a conflict of some kind. The two attempted to pile on him but his light cast them aside as well, leaving the open door wide open. And he attempted to make a run for it. But he had been stopped completely by a hand on his throat.
In Jesse’s handling of the other two, it appeared to him that Nikolai had gotten the time he needed to react. Seconds later he felt the wall on his back. He hadn’t been pushed hard enough for it to hurt him. But enough to get the message over that Jesse wasn’t going to be moving from it. And now he looked at the vampire who still held a grip on his throat. Again it was enough to hurt him any. But just enough to keep him there, pinned against the wall.
His gaze met the vampire’s. Jesse’s had not changed, but Nikolai’s had. But he didn’t see it as one of fury or rage. It looked as one more of a hunger. And Jesse wondered just how he would react to his attempt.

A soft groan of pain left Nikolai as a great white light from Jesse’s hand threw him across the room and into the full length mirror. The glass shattered, cutting Nikolai in several places as he lay still for a moment, a hand clutching his side as blood trickled down the side of his head and both arms, his eyes watching Jesse as he made a quite comical attempt to escape. He wasn’t angry; far from it, in fact. Amusement had dawned on him, and the ancient vampire sat silently, contemplating exactly what to do with this particular hybrid. His eyes took Jesse in slowly, as if finally appreciating the stunning beauty that obviously came from the Fae blood running through his veins, before he stood, dried blood trailing down one side of his face and staining into his shirt. As his guards were incapacitated, Nikolai moved forward, his slender hand closing around the younger man’s throat. Without even blinking he had Jesse pressed against the wall, hard enough to show that he wouldn’t be going anywhere, but not hard enough to do any permanent damage. His cool fingers splayed across Jesse’s throat, eyeing the bite mark that still oozed crimson before eyes darkened with hunger, desire and lust lifted to meet Jesse’s pacifistic glare.
“That was cute,” he growled, lifting his hand to lick a ribbon of his own blood from his hand, before raking fingers through blood splattered blonde hair. “I most certainly wasn’t expecting a light wielder.”
His tone softened slightly as he caught Jesse’s look again before he let his eyes drift away, taking in the rugged curve of Jesse’s jaw, the stubble that shadowed his chin, the firm set of his mouth, the slight scowl curving his lips. The way the veins pulsed in his throat as Nikolai’s hand tightened. When the human’s heartbeat increased, Nikolai’s hand lifted, tilting Jesse’s chin back with the tip of his thumb before he met the human’s eye once more. There was silence for the longest time between the two when he tugged Jesse close to him, his mouth descending on the human’s. He captured Jesse in a deep kiss, ravenous, almost harsh in his actions; attacking his senses with his teeth and tongue and lips as his arm slid around Jesse’s back, shoving him harder against the wall as Nikolai’s own body pressed against him. The kiss was over almost as fast as it had begun, but when he pulled back Nikolai’s lips were pink, and there was a drop of blood on Jesse’s lips – Nik had bit into his bottom lip when his fangs had extended. Fangs that were still out, evidently. It was obvious Jesse turned him on, that was one of the reasons for a vampire’s fangs to emerge. Lust was right up there with anger and every other emotion that brought out fangs, and lust was exactly what Nikolai was feeling. But he could wait. While he did, at times, enjoy taking unwilling bed partners, he didn’t want Jesse to hate him in the long run, and if he did take him without permission he would most certainly damage the frail human, if not kill him.
His hand dropped from Jesse’s throat, fingertips just brushing against his warm skin as his head turned away, before he crossed to where his guards were picking themselves up. He knocked one out of the room with the back of his hand, before he glared at the second. He wasn’t happy. “Arrange for my meal to be brought to my room,” he barked at the two, one of which immediately rushed off to find the maids with his meal – a young Frenchman who’s blood he enjoyed drinking quite frequently. With that, he turned back to Jesse, his eyes taking in the appraising and curious look the hybrid was giving him, before a wry smile caught his lips.
“If you need anything, there will be two guards posted outside your door... I am just down the hall,” and with that, he left, hands clenching as he stepped out of the room and locked the door. Once out of the human’s presence, his mask fell, and his hands began to shake. What had begun as a mere curiosity was turning into something else. He knew he was basically kidnapping the human, but he didn’t want to risk losing Jesse to another vampire, especially when fairies were already so rare.
"Do NOT let him get out of that room or I will personally stake both of you, do you understand me?"
Glancing briefly at one of the guards as the second returned, he took the towel offered and pressed it to his head, wiping away some of the blood. He really hated getting covered in blood. It reminded him of the old days – fighting the Minoans, going up against the Persians as a Spartan soldier... fighting in the Roman army. Shuddering, Nikolai looked away and continued on down the hall towards his bedroom, tugging his shirt off as he did so.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesse had no way of imagination to expect what would happen next. But he did hear Nikolai’s change in tone. He didn’t snap at him this time. But his actions however did take him off guard for any expectation he had thought was coming to him. And what he got was a kiss. That was his retribution for disobedience. But it was so much more at the same time. He felt himself being pressed even harder against the wall. Though he was even more surprised to find himself returning the favor. Even the sharp feel on his lips was ignored till it was over. And he’d come to realize, that intentional or not Nikolai had bitten into his lip. This was confirmed as he could taste his own blood in his mouth slightly. But now everything was running around in his head. Why had he just let him do that. The vampire held the image of a young man. Jesse guessed he must have been turned no later than 16-17. But he breathed in when his throat was finally released.
And now he saw where that anger was to be taken out at. His guards. He watched him right about knock one of them out of the room. And then he heard him as he barked orders to the other. And all the while Nikolai was dealing with his underlings. Jesse was able to put what had just happened to the back of his mind. And once again he was as he was before. And he rolled his eyes at the vampire’s comment. “Don’t hold your breath.” He said harshly. Ensuring he could be heard through the closed door. Jesse didn't look like much. But he had a lot of fight to him that no one saw. Mainly because it was never needed. He shook his head a little and walked into what was a previously unused bathroom the entire time he’d been here he hadn’t had a bath. And from every wound that he had suffered here. He knew that he needed it. So he let the bathtub run straight hot. He turned when he heard the door open and close rather quickly. And he peered his head around to see a pile of neatly folded clothes. He assumed the maid had returned to drop them off. And now even she wasn’t taking any chances of him getting close to the door.
He picked up up the note on top and looked at what had been brought for him to wear. She would come for his dirty clothes later and bring them back when they were cleaned. They were thin fabrics. They were mainly looking like sleep wear. But defiantly nothing he could make and escape in. so he knew he wouldn’t be making any attempts till he would get his jeans back. But none the less, he left his old ones on the floor in front of the bed and took the ones he’d change into with him. Eventually he’d climbed his way into the tub. The hot water was taking out all the tension and dissolving the dried blood from every part of his body. His eyes closed as he laid his head back against the back of the tub. And he just mulled over all his problems. And now only the sound of droplets hitting the waters surface accompanied him.

Nikolai's eyes briefly flicked to the door as Jesse's harsh comment echoed through the closed door. His hand closed into a fist and he let out an angry growl before he shut his own door, throwing his ruined white shirt onto the bed. The blood wouldn't wash out, and he disliked the smell of Alan's blood more than anything. His eyes lifted to the mirror hanging on the wall above his dresser, and he let out a deep sigh as he trailed fingers down the scars mottling his shoulders and chest, disappearing down past the hem of his jeans. His eyes darkened and he closed them, popping the button on his jeans before letting the denim fall down his narrow hips. he didn't even want to look at himself. It made his mouth dry and sent chills through him, chills that made his body even colder than before.
TIlting his head he glanced towards the closed door and pushed it open slowly, noting that his bath had already been drawn. He dipped a pale foot into the steaming hot water before he sunk down into it, thankful that his bath was big enough to let him sink in up to his neck and have his entire body immersed. He was doubly glad that it was big enough for more than three people, so if...once...Jesse warmed up to him, they could share it. That thought made him scowl and he let his hand close around the nearest thing to him, a porcelain bottle holding a special shampoo that had been flown in from Greece, a remnant of his homeland. As Jesse's scent floated into the room from his shirt - a few drops had fallen onto him when he'd bitten the hybrid - he let out a resounding growl and threw the bottle, flinching as it shattered against the opposite wall, clear, fragrant liquid trickling down the marble wall as his eyes raked over it. He made no move to clean it up, but instead dipped his head under the water so he was completely immersed, allowing the blood to wash out of his hair and from his face, so when he emerged he was clean. Then he lay backk, eyes closed and body tense. What the hell was he doing? It was obvious the Fae didn't want him. And at times he was sure it was safer that he didn't get close to anyone. His job entailed he be free of emotion, and show restraint. And here he was feeling undone all after a single meeting with one man.
It made him sick to the stomach. Taking a deep sigh, he brought a hand to his head, raking it through soaked locks as his eyes opened, before he scowled. Blood coated his hand, blood that was oozing from his ears and nose. He had the bleeds... Of course, he hadn't slept at all for the past two days, he knew he'd get tired eventually. Bringing the wash cloth close, he wiped away the blood and stepped from the bath, wrapping a fluffy white towel around his hips before using another to dry his hair as he padded back into his bedroom. He didn't even bother to get changed, instead he just dropped down onto his bed, in nothing more than the towel, and tried to fall asleep. After a while, sleep came to him - and while he knew it was night time, he needed to replenish his body and stop the bleeds before they grew into painful aches and cramps - and then he was in a deep sleep, a hand curled around one of the pillows, holding it close to his chest as he rolled onto his side. In sleep he was almost innocent - a mere child thrust into a barbaric world.
