Alyssa Baker's worst frenemy. They went to school together all their lives until Alyssa went out of state for college. Veronica had gone to LSU and met her first vampire in a dark alley just before the Great Revelation and she was turned. Since then, she's gone back to Shreveport and lives an almost normal existence. She never looked up her old bff/rival and is surprised to have seen her back in Shreveport all of a sudden.
As a relatively new vampire, she doesn't have much control over what she does but she's never killed - nor does she want to. She's retained a lot of her human characteristics, such as vanity, and they make an interesting mix with her new vampire powers.
