The earth was still. Quiet. As if the tiniest sound would send the world into utter chaos. And then, the gentlest of breezes picked up, causing the slender and mighty trees to tremble and groan. A slender figure paced between the canopy of the forest; a vast stretch of trees just beyond the busy life of Shreveport. The figure stilled, tilting a pale chin up to reveal a swan like neck, slender and graceful, tangles of golden brown hair falling around bare, pale shoulders. Blue eyes like the morning sky gazed up towards the moon, the breeze brushing hair away to reveal pointed ears. As the breeze died down once more, and hair settled around limbs as graceful as a statue, the woman let a smile grace her face and turned her face once more towards the moon, revealing teeth perfectly sharp. It gave her an ethereal, almost monstrous look, but her beauty put it off. A soft hum left her throat as she placed a palm flat against one of the tall oaks, feeling a deep shudder from within the heart of the tree as it responded to the power flowing through her body.
She smiled again, before words came from her lips, a gentle almost beautiful language that was native to her people - the Elves that lived deep in the heartlands of Faery, in the trees of the Elvenwood. It was there that she'd been born, almost three thousand years ago, beneath the shade of a beautiful honey oak. An oak very similar to the one she now spoke to. And it spoke back, gentle groans and murmurs through the leaves hummed out a chorus of words that she understood perfectly.
"Belondri ast hermana, twill ondrii,"
[/color] she gave thanks and blessings to the great Oak, for speaking to her so kindly, before her hand dropped away and she turned back to the sight of Shreveport, the wind once more ruffling her hair. In response, there was a deep groan and she felt a great wave of emotion wash over her. It made her skin tingle, and she laughed before bowing her head. "My thanks, wise old oak. And may you have many more years upon this Earth..."With that, Amalia stepped away, one hand just lifting the hem of her skirt so it would not drag along the decomposing forest floor, her bare feet stepping lightly over fallen branch and twig, a hum once more on her breath as she stopped on the edgges of the forest, taking in the sight of the abomination before her. Himanity had done some cruel things to the Earth. Destroying entire forests and land just to create houses and buildings. It made her sick to her stomach. Taking a deep breath, she stilled, catching a scent that seemed to be growing stronger. 'Good evening," she glanced towards the newcomer, a smile on her features, as she lifted a hand to brush hair out of her face.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Words: 506 Outfit: Clicky clickyTagged: Claudine Muse: Nightwish - Elvenpath Other: And the Elven princess reveals herself

The forest was not always her friend, it was rather a myth that all creatures of Fairy species could "commune with mother nature" it was really only the elves that could spend hours out in this wet and icky place without feeling the need to shower. Her home was accessible through the gleaming blue lake but somehow tonight she had lost her way "If I wasn't trying so hard to become an Angel I could use my bloody powers more" she mumbled to herself as she jumped over a log vaulting it perfectly before landing hard on the soil laying on the other side.
Reaching down she began to roll up the cuffs of her designer jeans, her long hair falling out of its plait and skimming the ground causing a series of curse words to issue forth from the delicate pink lips as she stood up to pull her hair back and shove it under her shirt.
"OH FOR GOD DAMNS SAKE" she cursed as she stepped forward and promptly trod in a pile of something not nice raising her fingers in a fit she was about to snap herself out of there straight to the pond when she saw a kind of white streak ahead of her "what the..." she muttered, excited and curious all thoughts of leaving flew out of her brain as quickly as they had arrived she began to edge forward, one pant leg shorter than the other as she heard a beautiful voice call to her.
It was a sweet voice, like a sirens call sweeping through the trees to make any mortal melt at the sound, Claudine new what it was immediately and followed the sound, her feet barely touching the ground as she practically ran towards the hope of a cousin.
Elf's, were so rarely seen Claudine had only met a small handful in her long long lifetime, having chosen to spend most of her time either in the fae realm or the human realm she had only briefly seen the Elven home the skimmed the edges of the Fae home. This one was quite a sight, all lovely and luscious her hair long her eyes bright, Claudine smiled at her noticing the simple movements.
"HELLO" She cried, all excitement at the forefront as she practically ran at the elf "YOUR AN ELF" her hands clapped together in glee as she jumped in front of the creature, gripping her by the arms and swinging her around, the fairy strength lifting the creature.
"Are you a cousin of mine?, the Crane/Brigant clan?" she sat on the air and smiled at the woman waiting on her to reply.

All alarm and surprise, Amalia took a moment as she felt herself whirled around in the air by what appeared to be a young woman, but the scent of magic and the way she lifted her gave an insight into her true nature. So, tthis was a Fae. She hadn't seen one in a good 300-400 years, and the sight was a welcome one. A smile met the Elven princess' lips, and she dipped her head in greeting, before a gentle laugh left her. This fairy was a very strange one, though, in terms of conduct. She seemed much more human than others she had met. Or perhaps Amalia had just not met very many.
"Yes, my dear, I am an elf..." the Elf smiled again, revealing sharp teeth that she more often than not tried to keep hidden, as she sat on a fallen log, not even minding the cold that seeped through her as soon as she made contact. She'd been born in the cool of the Elven kingdom in Fae, and was quite used to it, and the Elves were the most intune with nature out of all the Fae creatures, save for, of course, dryads and nymphs. As Claudine spoke again, Amalia found herself cocking her head to the side, one hand brushing a lock of hair back behind her pricked ear as she did so. "I do not believe so. I come from the Hex/Alberaz line. You would know my father, Prince Kree?"
Most, even Fairies, knew of her father, and of his stature as prince within the Elven Kingdom. Of course, not as grand a kingdom as the fairy's, but it was sufficient and modest enough for the elves. And it gave them a place of their own. Amalia shifted, crossing one leg over the other as she smiled, and settled against the log as she felt a groan from the trees around her. Laughter bubbled from her, and she placed her hand on the log, watching as tendrils of bright green light flowed from her fingers and into the log, briefly lighting the few trees around her before it faded. There was another deep groan and she bowed her head, before turning her attention back to Claudine.
"Did you say Crane/Brigant clan? You must be...Claudine, am I right? Niall Brigant's granddaughter?" She knew of the fairy prince, and his family. Just as she knew of Sookie Stackhouse, a descendant of Niall and a very interesting woman indeed. She hadn't met her, of course, but she'd seen her in Shreveport before, at the vampire bar Fangtasia. "I know of your family. And I offer my respect to your grandfather, for the next time you see him. My name is Amalia, it is very nice to meet a fellow fae. Now, are you troubled? You sounded as if you were having a bit of a conflict..."

She could feel the power flowing through the elf as she sat next to her, like a child sitting and looking up at a teacher, she watched intent and happy as the green glow seemed to almost heal and calm the pain of the forest. Though she was not connected to the forest she was a magic user and other magic always lifted her spirits, like crack to a street walker, blood to a vampire, magic fuelled fairies. It was the reason they constantly dipped back into the fae realm, almost like getting a hit.
Nodding in answer to the question of her name she crossed her legs and leant forward almost touching the elf her hands cupped under her chin, her eyes wide with excitement. She knew of the Elven prince and was truly delighted to meet the Royal elf, her grandfather spoke of them often and had instilled in them with a love of all creatures.
This one was beautiful, so graceful and pure almost as if light fell on her and draped her in its glory, the creatures and plants of the wood lifted up towards her, she was beautiful and hoped Claudine kind.
"I know of your family. And I offer my respect to your grandfather, for the next time you see him. My name is Amalia, it is very nice to meet a fellow fae. Now, are you troubled? You sounded as if you were having a bit of a conflict..."
The question made her grin as she sat there "I am not a fairy of the wood, I am a cloud fairy, I am always at peace among the sky, but the earth and I do not click as well as you" She stood and kicked off her shoes sitting once again on the air cushioning it beneath her "My grandfather has just arrived in the human realm, he is staying with my brother and I, where do you stay?" she hoped so much that this elf would call her friend.
"IF I may be so bold, are you new to the human realm?"
