Max did something that he hadn't done since he became one of the undead. He stepped into a church. A small sigh of relief escaped his mouth, he had only been a Vampire for a few years and had watched enough movies as a child to know that holy ground was supposed to be off limits. He sat in a pew that was close to the front of the church. A large monument of Christ was painted on the walls, his eyes were filled with bloody tears and he seemed to be staring right at Max. He was a Christian when he was still human but veered from the bible after his change. He knew that their was practicly no chance of still going to Heaven after what he had become, yet he still believed that if God could forgive the Jews then he hoped he could at least forgive him for something he never wanted.
Max lifted his head at the sound of the door opening.

Erica was coming to the church, she needed to ask the priest to give her a letter of recommendation so she could get into collage. The 17 soon to be 18 year old decided to dress more appropriate then she normally would, since she was going to a church and all. She dressed in khaki pants, black heels, and a blue sweater. Her short brown hair was straight, and she had on little make up. Erica pulled up in her red mustang, and got out. She walked to the pastor's office... only to find he wasn't there. But then Erica heard the door open and someone else enter the church.
Quickly she walked into the main sanctuary and seen some was there, sitting in a pew near the front. Looking closer Erica realized that he was a vampire because she couldn't read his thoughts. She was shocked a vampire was in church, but she shook it off and approached him. "Excuse me." She said walking toward him and taking a seat next to him, "I couldn't help but notice you looked down. And I thought you could use some company." she smiled at him, welcoming the silence he brought. It felt good to not hear the thoughts of another person for once.

Max took a breathe, the girl was human..for the most part. He glanced at her, she dressed as one should when near a priest. It was more than he could say in his dark wash jeans, t-shirt, and an old leather jacket. He smiled slightly, "Thanks, I haven't been the most cheerful person lately." He wouldn't lie to someone who was just trying to help, besides it was nice to be around someone who actually breathed.
