Hana walked at an average pace down the street, the wind wipping through her hair. She knew that demons favored the night, making even a half blood nocturnal. By the way the moon shone and the stars glittered she knew in an instant it was midnight. A faint smile flickered at cross her face, a new day was beginning. Hana was faintly aware that she was a ways from home, an hours drive if one took a car. But she didn't care, she could be home in ten if she ran. Yet, why leave when the mornings first light had yet to come? So she simply tugged at her jacket, pulling the zipper up to better warm her. Hana had a fleeting feeling that something interesting would happen tonight, and she wasn't going to run home before it could have a chance to arrive. Hana Wilks

Cal was going home after a particularly good feeding, the prey was of course live and tried to fight back, which made it all the more fun. He had blood all over his face and neck and lifted his shirt to wipe it off, the smell of it was transferred to his shirt and he couldn’t help but smell it again. He had parked his car a couple blocks away so it wouldn’t draw attention if someone was to see him, he dumped the body back in the woods for all the other little critters to find.
He was about a block away when a very distinct smell caught his attention, almost like fairy but didn’t smell as sweet; he put his shirt back down and let his feet take him in the direction of the scent. He was sure it was familiar but he hasn’t smelt something so mouthwatering in years. The street light cast a shadow over him and he quickly moved into the woods as not to be seen.
He kept following the scent when he recognized something else, whatever was giving off that delicious aroma was part human, he was getting closer and closer when a little girl appeared, she was wearing a hoodie and some jeans. The scene was quite odd, a girl that couldn’t be older than say 16 or 17 years old, he moved behind her and stopped, there was no need to alert more possible prey.
"What are you, I havent smelt something like you in over 500 years?"

Hana could feel something coming, fast. Before she even had time to figure out just what the thing was, it arrived. The smell of blood was thick in the air. 'Vampire....' she thought. Hana took a step forward, turning around at the same time. She looked him right in the eye. "Whats it matter to you." Hana usually wasn't so cautious, but the guy was covered in blood. Her heart beat picked up slightly, he was old. Not as old as some vampires, but the reference to five hundred years ago showed her that he was probably curios to other immortals. Hana Wilks

“I’m just curious, not going to kill you or anything, but the smell is different, I know you’re not human for sure though” He spoke quietly so no human could hear, he doubted any were in the vicintity but it was better to just be careful.
The girl in front of him intrigued him to no end, since he couldn’t decipher her smell, and she seemed un-phased by his appearance. Maybe she was some fairy high breed, half human half something that he wanted to eat. She looked like she could fight back but he wasn’t going to hurt her, intentionally.

"I'm human, just a half breed." She smiled,t. She took a deep breathe, "You don't have to speak softly you know, there's only one awake human around and he's half a mile away." Hana shrugged, she should probably tell him. "I'm a half demon..." She looked him in the eye once more, she wanted to see just how he would react. Most vampires didn't even know Demons existed, let alone that they were still around. Hana Wilks

A half-demon, that’s what she was, he hadn’t seen one of those in centuries. That’s why she smelt soo good, the half demon power boost. Cal grinned to himself; he hadn’t talked about demons since the old roman ages. It was fun remembering how they had hunted them, almost like the fae but even more so, fae blood was sweet and delicious, but half-demon blood made you physically stronger, that’s why they were so sought after. He didn’t think he would see one of them ever again, he unconsciously took a step closer to the half species.
“Ah, now I remember your kind. Extinct I thought but it seems some still live.” He stopped moving and thought about what to do, he just fed but he didn’t want to let her go, it wasn’t common finding half-demons walking around every night.

Hana's heart picked up even more when he took a step forward, adrenalin pumping. Half demons were exeedingly rare, due to demon's keeping the blood line 'pure' and the huntings of vampires. Most creatures had blotted that out of the history, yet he seemed to know all about it. "I'm the only one in my family. Yet I have met one other half blood as a child." Hana kept her voice level, trying to hide her fear and worry. The last time a vampire knew of the demon hunts she was left half dead from lack of blood in her veins.
