Species Information

Species: Human (Part Fairy)
Age: Twenty- Two
Mental Information
~Self-explanatory~
Personality: Timid. Adalia is a very quiet woman. Due to the mental abuse she faced in her developmental teenage years, she keeps to herself. Although once she gets to know someone, enough to trust them, she is very friendly and even protective. What she views as a “mental disability” has made her even more wary of people and therefore in order to keep them safe she tries to avoid them. Her quiet nature has led her to live a life in solitude and through this she has picked up a range of hobbies and skills. Despite the lack of a social life, Adalia is very good at communicating and often uses her abilities to her advantage.
Sweet. Growing up on her own made her value the people around her. Anyone she didn’t lose when she moved to Bon Temps knows that Adalia is a very sweet-natured person who loves and expects nothing in return. She tries her best to keep people around her happy, even if that means sacrificing a lot in return. Her mentality revolves around the idea that if she can save a person from facing the solitude and pain she faced, then she’ll do it. Despite this, she still gets angry, but she reserves that for moments when her life depends on it.
Happy. Around people she knows well Adalia is a very lively person. She loves to laugh, sing and dance. Though most of the time her bubbly personality is limited to smiling when she is working or being friendly. This side is rarely shown in public as it attracts too much attention and she feels she’s not ready for that kind of interaction. Instead she is rather reserved only letting her friendly demeanor shine through the walls she has built.
Protective. Adalia grew up unsheltered by the love of a mother or protected by the strength of a father. Instead she lived in a world where she was hated, abused and exploited. Those experiences alone made her realize that no one deserves to suffer that way and in those moments she promised that she would never allow that to happen to someone else. She vowed to use her powers as a means of protection for other people and that no matter what the circumstance was, she was going to fight for them. Due to the lack of a real family, Adalia values her friends more than anything in the world and carries a bond of loyalty to the grave. She knows that it is a very dangerous game to play, but her strong will refuses to let her stray from her word.
Dreamer. In her Bon Temps home, which was given to her by the oldest living heir, Adalia had knocked down the walls to two bedrooms to create a large studio. There she paints, draws and dances. The walls are riddled with artistic photographs, paintings and drawings that depict the images she sees in her mind and the moments that she wishes to never forget. The windows have thick curtains over them and the door is always locked. She fears that if anyone were to ever find the room, they would recognize the center of all her images.

History Information
~Self-explanatory~
History: Adalia was born to a human mother Ava Davis and a Fairy father Charles Nobyll. Her mother died giving birth to her and was left in the care of her loving father Charles. For the first few years of her life, Adalia was a blessed child. Always cared for and loved by her father, she grew up a very happy girl. Unlike other human children, Adalia never went to school. In place of a formal education her father home schooled her, focusing on her love for dance and art. She proved to be a very bright child and Charles never really saw the need to tell her about her lineage. The first ten years of her life were marked by freedom and brightness, but that would shortly come to an end.
In the two years following her happy childhood, Adalia began to have visions and hallucinations. At first they were harmless. Just sights of birds, smells of the ocean and casual thoughts, but as the days went on they progressively became worse. She started to hear more and her mind became riddled with the noise. Afraid she was going crazy, she told her father. Unsure how to explain the phenomenon to his daughter, he opened his mind and “spoke” to her. This is the only memory that stayed with Adalia through her troubled years and the only memory of her loving father she was able to save. This was also the first time she recognized her telepathic powers.
On her thirteenth birthday Adalia requested that she be able to take real dance classes. Unable to resist his daughters request, Charles allowed it. The first night of her class, she returned to find a pile of shimmering dust. The smell of iron lingered in the air and she was left alone. She wandered around the house for a week, wondering when her father would return. Feeling abandoned she called the authorities who then placed her in the care of the next living relative, her Aunt Emilia.
Emilia was a cruel woman who despised Adalia’s father for taking her sister away from her. Unbeknownst to Adalia, Emilia had killed her father and planned to use Adalia’s powers to her advantage. In full naivety Adalia followed any order Emilia gave her and was often beaten if she did otherwise. By the time Adalia turned sixteen, she was fed up with the abuse and attempted to run away. She was caught and beaten so badly that she almost died. When the ordeal was over, Emilia locked Adalia in the cellar of her former home. She covered up all the windows and made sure that she was deprived of all life. Adalia was barely fed which is still somewhat reflected in her petite frame and now habitual in her small portioned meals. Emilia purposely tortured Adalia by bringing stranger into the home to litter her thoughts with noise. Her intense hatred for Charles, still present, was channeled through her thoughts and into Adalia’s innocent mind.
This abuse continued for four years until there was simply silence. On the brink of death from starvation and the lack of will to live, Adalia lay in the middle of the cellar floor begging for death. It was the first time in four years that she heard absolute silence. There wasn’t a single thought present and she was sure she had died. There was a smell of smoke and crackling here and there, but Adalia made no note of it. Her eyes which were so accustomed to darkness were blinded by a sudden burst of light and she could feel something cold wrapped around her body. The only thing she could remember was silence and the fuzzy shape of a figure carrying her out of the burning house.
She awoke three days after in a hospital a few miles outside of her Massachusetts town. The next three years of her life were spent in solitude, trying to forget and rebuild her life. She saw a psychologist frequently and inquired about her savior. The only word she got from the hospital was that he knew her family. On her twenty-second birthday she received a mysterious letter from a lawyer. According to the letter she inherited a home in Bon Temps, Louisiana and a comfortable size of money to help her with moving in. The donation was made by the owner of the house who requested to remain anonymous. Adalia packed her bags and accepted the offer as she needed a new place to forget about her troubled past. The only information Adalia was able to get about the house was that it was passed down for generations to the next living relative and that the owner before her was a vampire. The vampire was one of the original settlers of the town and apparently a relative of hers. A little shaken by this she began investing in silver alongside lights for when she sleeps. (The lights are more because she is intensely bothered by the dark.)
Despite the frightening fact, she has grown comfortable in the home and has begun renovating it to fit her needs. Her stay in Bon Temps has so far been smooth, but she is still coming to grips with her powers. She has learned how to block others thoughts from her head, but it is a daunting task and she still knows very little about the range of her powers. She is still confused about the images that come into her dreams and rip her from reality, but dealing with them has become an easier task. Adalia built a studio within her old style plantation home and used the images within her head to inspire her. An unknown male, who is constantly part of these “glimpses”, is the center of all her portraits.
Other Information
~She is part Fairy, but doesn‘t remember much of her childhood to know that. She knows very little about who saved her from dying, but has a feeling it has something to do with the living relative who donated his house to her. Her telepathic powers were inherited from her father, but she differs from him in the sense that she can feel others emotions strongly and that she gets very small glimpses of the future.~
