So this lovely piece of man is James. He is currently 23, almost 24, and is human. He has known Elizabeth since he was thirteen when she saved him from being kidnapped. Yes, he is her human lover. xD James is an instigator, he likes to push Elizabeth's buttons by getting into trouble, but he's also very sweet and caring and knows it troubles her when he puts himself into those tight spots, but trouble always seems to find him. Elizabeth gets annoyed with him a lot of the time, but she loves him dearly, most likely why she keeps refusing to change him. He wants to be a vampire so he can stay with her for eternity, and she doesn't want him to live the life she leads. Elizabeth loathes being a vampire and therefore doesn't want James to hate her for bringing her lifestyle upon him. She's got a choice to make since her coven is closing in and they will most likely kill James if they find out Elizabeth's attachment to him. The two of them have a blood bond, yes, and he knows the danger he's getting into for being involved with her. James wants nothing more than to ease Elizabeth's nerves about the impending war between her and her coven, but she refuses to budge on making him a vampire.
